PRELUDE SOUTH 2025 is just one of many competitions within the Prelude Dance Competition Series, which has now expanded to several regions all over the United States, including Norcal, SoCal, New York, New England, Midwest, New Jersey, Florida, Las Vegas. Prelude DMV will continue its tradition for dance teams by hosting an event where youth, collegiate, and community groups can showcase their dance talents. New and legendary dance teams from the Florida Area and even teams from out-of-state will display all of their creative skills and hip hop power onto the dance floor, leaving their hearts on the stage in hopes of becoming the 2025 Prelude South Champions.
But more than just a competition, Prelude's mission is to support the Dance Community with a showcase focusing on, and highlighting, local & regional hip-hop dance groups, dance companies, and the overall dance community. By training and preparing for this event, Prelude hopes to enrich, strengthen, and improve individual dancers and/or dance groups, and more importantly bridge the gaps between dancers and teams to create a more welcoming and cohesive community in the DMV. Behind the scenes, teams will be able to meet each other and network to create a support system and a healthy competitive environment in which they can share their passion of dancing with one another. We believe that this type of community-building behind the curtains will also translate on stage to the audience, making Prelude more of an experience for our viewers, rather than just another show.
